Project: Multipurpose efficient storing and managing electric energy system based on supercapacitors and batteries technologies.

Objetive: In this project we intend to develop power limiter and a system of braking energy recovery without generating excessive consumption, noise or degradation in the life of certain components. For the said purpose we will propose a system based on Supercapacitors and batteries as accumulation units. This is connected to both power source and to the load through an inverter that we will develop in this project as well as the energy efficiency algorithms that allow the efficient control of the system. On the other hand the topology of the proposed equipment greatly affects final efficiency achieved by what its choice will be critical and will be defined in the early stages.

Participants: This project is developed by the joint work of between Fagor Electrónica S. Coop and Eika S. Coop. Fagor Electrónica leads the project. Fagor Electrónica brings to this project all the knowledge regarding to the electronics and the efficiency algorithms while Eika will be in charge of the supercapacitors.

Funding: The SUPER-STRG-MGTM Project is developed thanks to de joint financing of of Centro de Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial (CDTI) and the European Economic Area (EEA Grants) at the first call in the Science and technology program in Environment and Climate change. The aim of the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area is reducing economic and social inequalities within the European Economic area as well as the strengthening of cooperation between donor countries (Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein) and the 15 EU beneficiary countries, which include Spain.

Project: Development of a predictive system for substantial improvement of the energy efficiency of the vehicle fleets and minimizing their environmental impact.

Aim:The main goal of this project is a substantial improvement in the energy efficiency and in minimizing the environmental impact of the vehicle fleets, by:
1) The definition of Key Perfomance Indicators to evaluate the performance of the fleet and
2) The development of a prototype to analyse in real-time data integrating these indicators and allowing the prediction of the data received.

Participants: This project is developed by Fagor Electrónica S. Coop with the collaboration of Ikerlan S. Coop.. Fagor Electronics brings to this project its expertise in the development of location-based applications, telemetry and communication with the internal electronics of vehicles, as well as receiving information platform, FlotasNet®, that will be used to develop the advanced KPI dashboard. To achieve the mayor goal on data processing, Fagor Electrónica had worked with Ikerlan to make the state of art study on learning and prediction applicable methods and also an specific CEP development used on the applicative software.
